Patient Testimonials

Dr. Vanis,

Thank you for restoring quality back into my life. I thought I would never walk the same as I had when I was a young lad. But you proved me wrong. Thank you is not near enough for what you’ve given back to me, but I want you to know this thank you comes from deep within my heart and soul.

When I was in the service of our country I was a medic and my friend was a doctor. I once asked him why he decided to become a doctor and he said, “Michael, if I could save a life, cure a disease or even offer help in some small way for just one patient it would have all been worth it.” I know you share the same sensitivity and feeling just be the way you are with your patients.

...God bless you my friend and doctor. You’re a very special person and I am favored that our paths crossed in this life

Sincerely, Michael and Julie

Dear Dr. Vanis,

Once again you have been amazing! You take such good care of all of your patients and we are so grateful for the care and skill you have shown to our father and grandfather... You have put him back together! Thank you and God bless you!

Kim

Dear Doctor Vanis and Mary,

Thank you so much for taking me in and teaching me about medicine and people. I've learned so much from the both of you and I've become a better person all around. This was the best working environment and it will be quite difficult to find anything close to it. Thank you for making me laugh and teaching me the right way. I don't think you understand what an amazing experience this was for me, and I'm convinced that had I not worked here, I wouldn't have gotten into school (physician assistant, master's program).

Thank you both from the bottom of my heart.

Love always, Mare

Dr. Vanis,

Thank you for your skill and two new hips. Pain free walking is wonderful!

Esteemed Gentlemen: (written to Dr. Vanis and the cardiologist)

This letter is for both of you. We met in a situation stressful to both of us because of our concern for Thelma. I cannot help but think of the two of you as one. Anna is a quiet person, but really goes into high gear when care of a living thing is concerned. Her mother's condition was serious with a lingering solution pending. I am grateful that she had a catalyst for action.

Instead of distant appointments, dates with labs, referrals to other MD's, more lab workups and dates for interpretation, etc., (we have been there) within a two hour period we saw two specialists, (Dr. V. picked up the phone and called the cardiologist and we went down immediately) Thelma had two tests, was fitted with a halter monitor, etc. She has the same symptoms but seems more animated, confident and cooperative. To reiterate, you jump-started and followed through.

Thank you, Jaime M.

Dear Dr. Vanis,

I just wanted to let you know my hand is steadily improving and to once again express my gratitude for all you did for me. You are a kind and thoughtful person and I am very grateful.

God bless you, CS

Dear Dr. and Mary,

I appreciate your care and concern in seeing me through my surgery (total knee replacement). It has been a blessing meeting and knowing both of you.

Thank you for everything!

Sincerely, Mary W.

Dear Doctor,

This is just a little note to let you know how much I appreciate all that you have done for my family. You have been such a life saver with Bob. I don't know what we would have done without you finding the problem with Bob's kidney (since we thought it was a back problem) for always taking care of me. Because of your phone call. I qualified for the charity application and the hospital wrote off my son's medical bills.

Thanks again, M and Family

Dr. Vanis and Mrs. Vanis and staff,

Barry and I just want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking such great care of ester. Ester passed away in July of cancer. Dr. Vanis, you gave Ester the will to live at least three years longer. Our hearts grieve for her. But, now she is at peace with everything. Barry and I cannot thank you enough for the care and understanding and respect your gave her.

With love, Barry and Cinderella

Dear Dr. Vanis:

On behalf of my sister Arlene, her husband Sam and myself, I want to thank you for your valuable and caring information during a painful and stressful time. My sister felt at ease and confident that Dr. C (who you referred her to) could perform the operation that other doctors said was inoperable. Dr. C operated Wednesday night on my sister Arlene and she came out of recovery with a big smile on her face and looking like she had won the lottery. As you know, she won the biggest lottery of all!

Thank you again for everything.

Sincerely, The Smith family and Tim M.

Hi there Doctor and Mary,

So wonderful to be pain free and walking with both feet pointing forward! Thank you both for all the extras your care, concern, support, positive attitude and kindness. You really can't put a price tag on that!

Fondly, Robert and Phyllis Z.

Dear Dr. Vanis,

We certainly did enjoy your seminar on total joints yesterday! Thank you again for doing such a fine job on my knees. Can you believe it has been 7 years. Dr. Vanis, I just wish all doctors were as wonderful as you! I had two kidney stones removed this past year and I've been disappointed with the doctors. I guess, I wanted them to be like you and I'm spoiled. At age 78, I guess I expected more TLC. You will always be my favorite doctor!

Sincerely, Alma Y.

Dr. Vanis,

I am finally writing you the thank you note you deserved six months ago! You are one of the most kind, compassionate people I have ever met, and I wouldn't be alive and walking without your help! The world is a better place with you in it V and so am I. There will always be a special place in my heart for you!

Lyn R.

I was reading a daily devotional after seeing you last week (whining and complaining your ear off) and thought it was so true of you. My burden is now so much lighter I've glimpsed things I needed to see, I have a fresh hope for tomorrow Because someone listened to me. (Egner) Thanks for being such a great physician.
